Spelling is not everybody's forte. Don't get us started on the whole 'I before E except after C' stuff.

We've gone through various lists over the years of what are apparently the words that the nation struggles with most, and put together a tricky quiz.

Use the clues provided to see if you could enter a spelling bee right now or whether you need a new dictionary pronto.

We've been particularly strict, so make sure you take your time over it! And then see if you can beat your family and friends.
