Tom Jones confirms concert comeback at York Racecourse

The 78-year-old legend is said to be recovering well from a bacterial infection.
Sir Tom Jones has announced that he will return to performing on Friday evening (July 27), at his scheduled show at York Racecourse.
The Welsh singer had been forced to cancel a string of concerts over the past week, including shows at Stansted Park, Chester Racecourse and Belvoir Castle.
On his official social media accounts, Sir Tom confirmed that he is "feeling much better", and doctors have told him he will be well enough to perform again.

He also thanked fans for their "uplifting messages" of support, and said that he looks forward to continuing his tour this summer.
Sir Tom had been due to perform at the Down By The Laituri festival in Finland tonight (July 25), but he wasn't quite ready to return.
