The Jacksons' father Joe Jackson has died, aged 89

He was the father and early manager of the Jackson family.
Joe Jackson passed away on Wednesday (June 27) at the age of 89, after a battle with cancer, TMZ first reported.
The Jackson patriarch was born in 1928, and married wife Katherine in 1949. He had 11 children in total.
He launched the careers of his sons The Jackson 5 - including Michael Jackson and his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, Tito and later Randy.
Jackson had suffered from a number of health issues in recent years, including a stroke that left him with temporarily blurred vision. He also had multiple heart attacks and dementia.
He was known for being a strict father, particularly when launching the careers of The Jackson 5. His other children LaToya, Rebbie, and Janet also launched singing careers under his initial guidance.
Last week, Jermaine had spoken of being barred from seeing his father, after he was admitted to hospital.
