It's been eight long years since Sade's truly great album Soldier of Love, but it won't be long before we get something new.
The British-Nigerian musician will soon release new material for the soundtrack of A Wrinkle in Time.
The film's director Ava Duvernay confirmed the news, writing on Twitter: “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway.
She was kind and giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled ‘Flower of the Universe.’ And it’s a dream come true.”

'Flower of the Universe' will be the first new music from Sade her self-titled band’s 2010 album Soldier of Love, their sixth overall.
The soundtrack to A Wrinkle in Time will also feature music the likes of Sia and Demi Lovato. The original score will be provided by Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi.
The movie stars Oprah Winfrey, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Chris Pine, and is based on the science-fiction novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle. It follows the life of a young girl named Meg on a mission to find her missing father.
