Rewind North festival has been cancelled due to "extreme weather", event bosses have announced.
In a statement on the Rewind North festival website, organisers confirmed refunds will be available from all of their official outlets.
The statement read: "Unfortunately, the prolonged extreme wet weather conditions experienced in Cheshire have caused significant disruption to the site at Rewind North.
"Although we have robust contingency plans in place and have made every effort to allow the festival to go ahead, in the interests of the safety of our customers, we have taken the decision to cancel the event.
"The safety and experience of our customers remains our priority."
Rewind North was due to feature Gloria Gaynor, Bananarama, Thin Lizzy and Level 42 among several other big stars.
Gloria took to social media to voice her disappointment at the show's cancellation.
The 'I Will Survive' singer tweeted: "I'm so disappointed that I won't get to perform at @rewindfestival North since it's been cancelled.
"However I do understand that extreme weather has made the festival site unsafe.
"And I respect and appreciate the festival looking out for the safety of the attendees #wewillsurvive."
