Mr Big drummer Pat Torpey dies, aged 64

Mr Big drummer and founding member Pat Torpey passed away on Wednesday (February 7) due to complications of Parkinson's disease at the age of 64.
His band shared the news on Twitter, saying: “With breaking hearts we tell you that our brother, friend, drummer, and founding member, Pat, passed away Wednesday, February 7 from complications of Parkinson’s disease."
Torpey was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2014, but still played with the band as a background vocalist and contributed with percussion.

The drummer formed Mr Big with Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan and singer Eric Martin. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1989.
The group split in 2002, but reunited seven years later, and have released three albums since then.
