Michael Bublé recently spoke to Smooth Radio about the collaboration, telling us: "We were working on the album, and a friend of mine who had co-written it, called me and told me that they had been working on a song and knew of the concept of my album, a beautiful romantic record.
"Usually when I get songs like this, it’s hard for me, I usually write my own songs. I don’t always record others, but for the first time in my life I was so taken by it that I decided to record it. Obviously I must love it very much to have done that."
However, he revealed that he never actually met Charlie during the record: "Working with Charlie was amazing, the day to day experience of just being with him… no, wait a second, I never met him.
"They just sent me the song, never met him. He sang backgrounds on the song, he’s a very sweet kid. Makes me feel very old, but I’m a fan!"
Love will be released on November 16.
