The first trailer for Last Christmas starring Emilia Clarke and Henry Godling has been released, and we're now officially excited.
The romcom was written by Emma Thompson - who also stars in the film - and is centred around the songs of George Michael.
The film will reach cinemas for the festive season, and stars Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding as a frustrated elf in a Christmas popup shop and a soup kitchen volunteer she keeps bumping into.
Thompson plays Clarke’s mother, while Golding’s Crazy Rich Asians co-star Michelle Yeoh plays her boss.
The trailer features the title tune by Wham!, alongside George Michael's 'Freedom 90’.
Thompson began writing the film while George was still alive, and the plot had the singer's blessing. Since George's death on Christmas Day 2016, produced Paul Feig and Thompson have worked closely with his estate.
The film will also feature at least one unreleased track recorded by the late singer.
“The great sadness is that he’s not here to be a part of this,” Feig said. “But he knew it was going to happen, and that gives me such joy. We feel like he’s here with us.”
