The legendary songwriter has teased a big announcement for later this week, teasing a special 'event' today (Wednesday January 24) at 5.30pm.

From looking at his official website and previous tweets about #EltonEvent, it looks like it might have something to do with his iconic album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
The classic LP celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, leading fans to speculate that he may tour the album in full, or maybe even release a sequel of sorts.

Meanwhile, Sir Elton has spoken about how he has found fame to be a "curse" after years battling drug and alcohol addictions.
Writing for the World Economic Forum, Elton said: “My essential humanity began to dissolve into an excess of drugs and alcohol.
“Fame, which at first sight looks like a blessing, soon revealed itself as also a curse. I am afraid I reacted very badly. I became a loathsome person – selfish, self-centred, and disconnected.
“That amounts to a painful second lesson, one I learnt by doing it all wrong.”
