Watch Ed Sheeran's cameo in The Simpsons

Just when you think Ed Sheeran has taken over everything remotely related to pop culture, he only goes and shows up in The Simpsons.

It was only a matter of time before the British singer-songwriter recorded a cameo appearance in the long-running US cartoon, wasn't it?

The short clip sees the 'Perfect' singer playing the piano, only to be disappointed when Lisa doesn't applaud his efforts.

The episode in question will see Ed play a character named Brendan - Lisa's love interest - who also just happens to be a redheaded musician. 

This isn't the first time Ed's appeared the small screen. Last year, he filmed a cameo on the hit HBO series, Game Of Thrones.

Ed is currently number one in the UK chart with 'Perfect', which was also 2017's Christmas number one.
