The late icon's wife and son posted moving pictures on social media yesterday (January 8).
Firstly, Bowie's widow Iman shared baby photos of the late singer. The couple married in 1992 and remained together until his death in January 2016.
On Instagram, Iman shared black and white baby photos of Bowie taken in 1947. She captioned the image with the hashtag #BowieForever.
Earlier in the day, Bowie's film director son Duncan Jones tweeted a quirky cartoon drawing which shared their "goofy sense of humour".
“8th of Jan again. A strange feeling for me,” Jones wrote. “I know how excited dad was to have a grandson on the way, & I made this card for his birthday having told him a month earlier he was going to be a grandad. Makes me smile at our shared goofy sense of humour. Happy birthday dad!”.
