Cher has returned to the UK to perform on her Here We Go Again tour, but did you know she once took part in an amazing musical performance with The Jackson 5?
Between February 1975 and January 1976, Cher hosted her own variety show on CBS following her divorce from Sonny Bono, leading to the end of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, which had run from 1971 to 1974.
The show often featured celebrity guests singing with the host.
On March 16, 1975, The Jackson 5 made yet another appearance on the show.
The variety show audience were surprised to see Cher add herself and form The Jackson 6 to sing through a medley of their biggest hits.
Cher and Michael Jackson shared lead vocals for songs including ‘I Want You Back’, ‘I’ll Be There’ and ‘Dancing Machine’.
The now-73-year-old singer even joined in with the band’s moves as much as possible, leading to this fantastic video:

After Cher’s successful solo variety show and Sonny’s 1974 The Sonny Comedy Revue, she re-teamed with her ex-husband for The Sonny & Cher Show, which ran from 1976 to 1977.
The video has lived-on thanks to YouTube, with one viewer noting: “It was funny they had to modify some moves for Cher but kudos to her not looking completely lost.
“I did notice the competitive spirit in MJ. Anytime Cher would have a spotlight, MJ would dance faster and better.
“It was friendly but he definitely wasn’t going to let anyone upstage him.”
