And after nearly two decades, a sequel is coming!
Aardman Animations has announced that the classic stop-animation about a group of chickens trying to escape a farm is getting a follow-up.
The original movie was made by the team behind Wallace and Gromit and Early Man - and is still the most successful stop-motion animation film of all time.
Chicken Run made a huge $106 million in the US, with a global total of $225 million (£161 million).

The first movie starred Mel Gibson, Timothy Spall, Absolutely Fabulous' Julia Sawalha and Miranda Richardson.
It was in essence a parody of Steve McQueen's The Great Escape, and it's always a joy to watch.
It has yet to be confirmed if any of the original cast including Mel Gibson will be making a comeback.
