Former BBC Breakfast co-presenters Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid reunited earlier today on Good Morning Britain, leaving viewers delighted.
The pair previously appeared on BBC Breakfast together from 2003 until 2014, when Susanna left the broadcaster for ITV.
Working together for the first time in six years, Bill couldn’t contain his excitement as the show opened.
The duo were introduced by a voiceover at the start of the show, with Susanna saying: “Well I haven’t heard that for a number of years, Susanna Reid and Bill Turnbull!”
Bill, who also presents on Smooth's sister station Classic FM, replied: “Pinch me because I can’t believe this is really happening,” before they shared a hug.
Hinting at Piers Morgan’s absence, Susanna noted her three days working with Bill would be “therapeutic” in contrast to usual.
The 49-year-old said: “We always joke about the fact that when Ben [Shephard] is in on a Thursday, it’s a therapeutic Thursday but now I’ve got therapeutic Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.”
Bill, 64, added: “That’s very sweet of you but let’s see how you feel by the time you finish on Wednesday!”
Speaking ahead of his comeback, Bill revealed he was “thrilled” to be reuniting with Susanna, despite “having sworn never to do breakfast television again”.
Susanna added: “It will be lovely to work alongside him again. I expect Bill presenting a breakfast show again will be like a duck taking to water - if the early alarm call isn’t too much of a shock.”
