This is how much it means to him...
Andy Murray was not able to hold back his emotions after an epic three-hour match against Marius Copil at the Citi Open in Washington this morning (August 3).
The former world No 1, who has slipped to No 832 due to not playing for nearly a year through injury, beat Copil in a match that ended just after 3am local time.
Immediately after his triumph, he sat in his chair and wept for several minutes. Watch the emotional moment above.
What made the moment even more powerful, was that the stadium's speakers were playing Semisonic's track 'Closing Time'.
Murray will Alex de Minaur in the quarter-finals on Friday night at the Washington Open.
