Smooth Radio presenters Kate Garraway and Myleene Klass will co-host this year's Global Awards with Very.co.uk, alongside Roman Kemp.
Speaking about hosting The Global Awards for the first time Smooth’s Kate Garraway said: “Following the massive success of The Global Awards over the past two years, it is such an honour for me to join the fabulous Myleene Klass and Roman Kemp to co-present this year’s ceremony.
"What makes The Global Awards so unique is that we’re celebrating the stars of music, news and entertainment across the night – and with performances from artists such as Ellie Goulding, Stereophonics, Aled Jones and Russell Watson, it promises to be a very special evening!”
Myleene Klass added: “I am over the moon to be hosting The Global Awards for another year. It’s so rare to have an awards ceremony these days which celebrates all genres of music the way The Global Awards do. There’s genuinely something for everyone, from pop through to classical, just like all the stations Global represents. It’s going to be stellar.”
Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi have led the pack for this year's Global Awards with Very.co.uk nominations.
The public and a panel of industry experts voted for their favourite artists across genres in a host of popular categories to create the shortlist.
The awards bring together all Global’s radio stations including Smooth, Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Gold and LBC, to celebrate the biggest stars of music, news and entertainment across a wide range of genres.
After a huge year, 23-year-old Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi joins one of the biggest selling artists on the planet, Ed Sheeran in receiving the most Global Awards nominations.
The pair go head to head in four categories, Best Male, Best British Act, Best Mass Appeal Artist and Best Song of 2019.
After winning two gongs at last year’s awards, chart-topping sensation Dua Lipa will hope to retain her Best Female and Best British Act titles this year and add Best Pop to her Global Awards accolades.
Best Song of 2019 and Best Female nominee Camila Cabello joins an incredible line-up of performers for The Global Awards 2020 with Very.co.uk on March 5th which also includes Ellie Goulding, Tones and I, Aitch and Stereophonics, Aled Jones and Russell Watson.
