Original and long-time George Michael band members David Baptiste and Carlos Hercules have confirmed they're joining the celebration of George Michael in Concert in 2019.
David Baptiste – George Michael's saxophone player since the singer's time in Wham! – and Carlos Hercules, George's drummer, will join singer Rob Lamberti in a series of celebration concerts in memory of the iconic vocalist in 2019.
Celebrating and performing a pantheon of hits, ‘George’ is a brand new live show that honours the music of George Michael, from his Wham! hits to the iconic songs of his solo career. George's original band members and Rob Lamberti will join the National Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for this theatrical concert experience.
The show will take audiences through George’s greatest hits, from Wham! classics such as ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’ to the songs that made his name as a solo artist, like ‘Careless Whisper’ and ‘Faith’. Here are all the tour dates for 2019:
