Have you really been to the Oscars unless you've performed onstage with Elton John and worn his diamond-encrusted glasses?

Taron Egerton jumped onstage and joined Sir Elton John for an Oscar-worthy duet performance of 'Tiny Dancer' at the Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, and it was glorious.

Egerton, who will play Elton in the upcoming biopic Rocketman, took centre stage and wowed with his vocals of one of Sir Elton's most-loved songs.

Egerton has already demonstrated his vocal abilities in a behind-the-scenes teaser video for Rocketman.

Elton has also praised the actor for his singing, saying that he was "blown away" by his voice.

The Rocketman movie is set for release on May 31 this year.
