All artists will broadcast from their own homes.
During the virtual concert, viewers will be encouraged to donate to Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation, which are charitable organisations helping victims and first responders during the pandemic.
The concert will take place just days after Elton celebrated his 73rd birthday at home with his family while in self-isolation.
The 'Rocket Man' singer shared a video to his social media to show his sons Elijah, seven, and Zachary, nine, as well as partner David, 57, singing happy birthday to him.
Sitting with a huge birthday cake, Elton explained he was grateful to be spending the day with his family.
He wrote in the video caption: "Grateful for the best birthday ever with my family."
It comes as Lionel Richie revealed his plans to release a new version of his 'We Are the World' charity single to fundraise against coronavirus.
