Elton John celebrates birthday in isolation
Sir Elton John turned 73 yesterday and celebrated the occasion at home with his family while in self-isolation.
The 'Rocket Man' singer shared a video to his social media to show his sons Elijah, seven, and Zachary, nine, as well as partner David, 57, singing happy birthday to him.
Sitting with a huge birthday cake, Elton explained he was grateful to be spending the day with his family.
He wrote in the video caption: "Grateful for the best birthday ever with my family."

Elton also shared a snap of a birthday sign and cards presented to him by Zachary and Elijah.
The singer gushed: "So nice to wake up to this! Thank-you Zachary and Elijah."

Elton’s birthday celebrations come just a week after the singer explained he was self-isolating at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He wrote: "#IStayHomeFor @davidfurnish and our boys. Today it’s snakes, ladders and staying inside to stop the spread of coronavirus."
